MyDataKnox provides support with server configuration and maintenance; however, the applications you install on the server are not included in our support area. You can contact our support team via telephone or by sending an inquiry using your MyDataKnox user control panel. Our technical staff will act in case of hardware issues, and they can also assist you with VPS configuration to a certain degree. However, our support team can’t help you with your software configuration on VPS, such as with ERP, CRM applications and other business applications that are unrelated with the service itself.

Depending on the selected operating system, you can manage VPS setting using the Remote Desktop (Windows) or SSH (Linux). You can also install a web hosting control system, such as cPanel or CentOS Web Panel. You can access basic options, such as starting, restarting, stopping, selecting an IP address, server name etc. through the MyDataKnox user site.

WEB HOSTING
Web hosting, sometimes known as shared hosting, is the most common form of hosting on the market and meets the requirements of most users regarding website hosting.

Generally speaking, content migration is your responsibility, however, our support team will execute the migration for you if it involves transferring content from one cPanel to another, or from one CentOS Web Panel to another. VPS servers are delivered without add-ons, but you can lease cPanel and other licenses from us. MyDataKnox support team will help you prepare the server and install cPanel or a free CentOS Web panel.

VPS management requires basic server administrator knowledge. You’ll need it to administrate the operating system you’ll install (Linux or Windows) and configure the applications. If you require VPS, but feel that you lack the technical skills needed to manage a server, we recommend that you take a look at our Premium support service.

If you require a specifically configured server or your websites have a large number of visitors, then VPS is the right solution for you. VPS can be completely adapted to meet your needs and provide you with a lot more control over your hosting environment than a web hosting service. On the other hand, if your require an installation of a special software such as CRM, ERP or similar systems, VPS provides you complete freedom of installation and configuration of such applications.
