No. Every certificate is linked to a specific domain.
A partial exception are the Wildcard certificates, which cover a domain and all its subdomains.

MyDataKnox doesn’t implement that kind of limitation; you can buy the certificate and install it on a server that is not one of ours.

You need an SSL certificate in the following cases:

• you have a web shop
• you accept credit/debit card payments (or other forms of payment)
• you provide an online service for which your subscribers pass a sign-up process
• your website requires the entry of user log-in information
• you transfer private data online
• you want to inspire confidence with your visitors and users

Quite easily. If you hold an SSL certificate, your website address will begin with “https://” and have a padlock icon, and a “Secure” mark will appear in the browser, as shown in the image below.

When a browser displays the website as secure, the user is confident that your website is credible.
